Physiotherapy

Manual therapy, exercise prescription, education, and electrotherapy — to restore independent function.

About this service

Physiotherapists are regulated health professionals that provide a unique combination of hands-on manual therapy, exercise prescription, education, and electrotherapy to help you recover from injury, illness and disability. Each physiotherapist is university educated and has extensive knowledge in assessing, diagnosing and treating your condition.

Our aim is to help you restore independent physical function, decrease pain, enhance movement patterns and elevate you in your hobbies, work and athletic performance.

Common manual therapy techniques include: deep tissue release, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, friction scar / adhesion release, joint mobilizations and on occasion joint manipulations.

Electrotherapy modalities we provide: Ultrasound, Laser, Transcutaneous Electrical Stimulation (TENS), Interferential Current (IFC), and Neuromuscular Stimulation (NMES). Depending on the modality, electrotherapy can aid in promoting healing, improving circulation, decreasing pain and decreasing swelling.
